The mathematics classrooms throughout VVSD are among the best examples of how VVSD works to develop the critical thinking skills of our learners. The A.Vito Martinez Middle School classroom of Stephanie Cate is just one of the places where the Portrait of a Learner competency of critical thinking is combined with collaborative learning, team problem solving, and the use of vertical learning spaces to encourage interaction and learning growth among students.
