A new painting on the easel, and I’m excited to get into it! Stay tuned for progress shots over the coming weeks. This is an Imprimatura Bistre - the “first layer” of paint. Specifically, this one’s a split imprimatura. I’m using oil paint (Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Light, Transparent Earth Red, and Burnt Umber) thinned with odorless mineral spirits.
