🚨🚤 Call-Out: EPIRB Activation 🚤🚨 Today at 0930 hours, Port Macquarie 30 and five volunteers were activated to respond to an EPIRB distress signal detected approximately 6 nautical miles offshore. 💨 The crew was activated, onboard, and underway within 12 minutes, rapidly progressing to the last known EPIRB coordinates. Fortunately, it turned out to be a false alarm – an accidental activation, with no one in danger. A relief for all, though the team returned home just a little wetter! 🌊💦 A

Kia ora folks, this morning there was an epirb activation from a yacht which had caught fire about 14 nautical miles from Napier. We departed the Base with 7 crew onboard and firefighting equipment and about 45 minutes later we were on scene.
