Obedience - Consistency is Key The key to generalised obedience is to start slow and be consistent with your communication. Consistency starts with clear markers, and only asking the dog to “sit” or “drop” if you plan to release them from that position. Teach them slowly, the key to success and reward is waiting for a marker. If the dog breaks position, be sure to follow through with a reset until the dog hears a marker.
