Adhd folks can struggle with hygiene because: 1. Sensory issues (loud water, aversion to being cold and wet, toothbrush is too pasty) 2. Distractions (“wait I need to figure out how to charge my phone and this tv show is more important”) 3. Time blindness and problems with planning so we run out of energy 4. Less attention to details we aren’t hyper focusing on (I didn’t realize my hair looked greasy) 5. Being forgetful (struggle to remember if we have already worn an outfit or brushed teeth) 6.
