Knowing your garden zone is the key to choosing plants that can survive and thrive in your particular area. Choosing plants that are not hardy in your zone can lead to frustration, disappointment and unnecessary expenses. Sure you can just grab plants and seeds and give it a go, but wouldn’t it be better to be a knowledgeable gardener? I know that in zone 3, I can grow a number of fruits and vegetables, but that the growing conditions aren’t ideal for many of the tropical plants, or plants with
