In honor of Veterans Day this year, we met up with 98-year-old Jewish WWII veteran Murray Kaner. A Brooklyn Borough Park native, Kaner fought on the ground in the Philippines at just 18 years old. “I didn’t want to wait to be drafted, so I enlisted,” he told us.
