We finally visited the wooden escalators! . . I always keep little historical funsies tucked away in my mind, and if we happen to pass near one, time for a visit! . . We happened upon Macy’s while walking and had to pop in to see these. The majority of the original wooden escalators were removed in a renovation, but a couple flights remain on the very top floors.
