Want equal spacing on rebar mats ? Make your first mark at 3”, take the length of the bar minus 6” (if you want your edge rebar 3” inside the bar) and divide that by 1 less bar than what the plan calls for (as the first bar is “0”) and thats your spacing is, just make sure you start marking from your first 3” mark not the edge of the bar, and you will get your even spacing! confusing?
