Why and how do we stretch baby’s hips? First, babies hold a lot of tension in the hips. Swaddling and laying down during the day doesn’t allow them to have free range of motion. We want to make sure the joints are limber and flexible to reach gross motor milestones. How: Very slowly and gently. Do not force or push. Watch very carefully and go slow. This video was sped up but the motion is slow and make sure your baby is feeling ok by watching for their cues. #babymilestones #babyexpert #newmom
