Jan 3, 2019 · So a used 2 up snowmobile sounded like it might be the answer and I could get a decent one for the price of the Snow Dog and added sleds. But as you point out Gary the Snow Dog does have certain attributes a sled does not. Lots to ponder this off season! Just a couple things to take into consideration.

Sep 15, 2018 · Towing a train of 3,4 or 5 sleds is not a big issue for the dog once you are on flat lake surfaces. Some snow cover on the ice is certainly way better than no snow and glare ice. Towing a heavy train up a steep ramp all depends on how much traction you have under the dogs track. My ramps here are just lose stone and don’t offer much traction.

Jan 23, 2025 · I have them under the girls gymnastics bars in the garage. Dog drug one outside and it froze down on the driveway. Needed a warm day to come off. Driveway is much different. These always just pop off the ice. The driveway asphalt or concrete will act as glue when cold.

Dec 13, 2024 · We had the sleds out this past weekend in Northern Minnesota on up to 10 inches of ice. There wasn’t a lot of snow on top either. A little slush exists where there was snow and a lot of slick spots otherwise. There is probably a foot of snow on land.
