A minor parking lot fender bender in a car is an annoyance costs a few hundred dollars. The same thing for an airplane is weeks of being grounded and thousands of dollars.

In the song Greased Lightning, the car they're singing all around in their fantasy song is Kenicke's white hunk of junk, but part way through the song, Danny rolls underneath it and when he comes out the other side, it is the flying car that we see at the end of the movie, and everyone is now wearing fancy costumes.

Every other "flying car" is either a quadcopter with exposed blades that'll 100% not pass NHTSA scrutiny or a literal aircraft that occasionally folds into a vaguely car-sized object.

Dec 30, 2023 · The prediction of flying cars should never have been done. To my knowledge there is not even a theory as to how one would have flying cars. Because yea, a flying car, is meant to be propelled by a currently unknown means of propulsion. The strategy of pushing air down, or using propellers is not a flying car.
