Trump says Blackhawk helicopter in DC crash was flying too high
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday the Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided with a regional passenger jet in Washington, D.C. was flying too high at the time of the accident, in what appeared to be a major disclosure about the investigation.
He told a news conference that diversity hiring efforts at the Federal Aviation Administration may have led to safety issues.
Later on, just before 11:30 a.m., the President delivered remarks about the crash to press in the White House briefing room.
