The U.S. Coast Guard released additional footage of the wreckage of the Titan submersible, which imploded on its way to the Titanic, killing all five people on board.

Appearing before a US Coast Guard panel, Steven Ross told the board about a platform issue the experimental submersible experienced in June 2023, just days before it imploded on its way to the Titanic site.

The scientific director of the Titan testified Thursday that the sub malfunctioned days before the failed mission that ended in an implosion, claiming the lives of the crew and prompting an international rescue effort.
