The IRS announced eligible U.S. taxpayers who did not claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on their 2021 tax return will soon receive a stimulus check.

Paying down debt, starting or supplementing an emergency fund and using a little for fun are great ways to manage the government stimulus check.

The IRS said most taxpayers eligible for the federal stimulus payments, formally known as Economic Impact Payments, have already received them, but that approximately 1 million taxpayers did not claim the credit.
