Fortnite players have the chance to become Godzilla to stomp, burn, and roar their way across Battle Royale for a chance to claim the Victory Royale.

To be clear, you cannot die while playing as Godzilla--you'll always turn back into a normal player at the end of it, no matter what. From there, you'll play the rest of the match out as usual. You don't, by the way, get any rewards for having been Godzilla in a match, aside from the happy memories.

A strange, giant monster has appeared on the Fortnite map, causing destruction, and this situation demands immediate attention. That’s where you come in - your task is to investigate what’s happening to the east side of the map and uncover the source of the chaos.
