CES is known for splashy TV and laptop launches, but in 2025, there were more than a few companies trying to make waves with robot vacuums, too. After years where it seemed like vacuuming, mopping, and self-emptying might be the peak of a robot vacuum’s abilities,

PRE-ORDER AND SAVE $390: Ahead of its Feb. 14 launch, the Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum announced at CES can already be pre-ordered. Doing so early also unlocks a $390 coupon, making it yours for $1,309.99 versus the $1,699.99 launch price.

There is also a company called SwitchBot which showed off a new robovac concept that features two unusual mechanical arms, a torso, and a display with its eyes, touting a multi-tasking experience but was only shown on video. That being said, these machines are still prototypes, and not yet commercially available as of this writing.

Since all different modes rely on the same motor, you might expect them all to offer the same level of suction, but that's not quite the case. In robot vacuum mode, the E20 offers 8,000 Pa of suction power, but switch it over to stick mode, and you'll get a massive 30,000 Pa.

SwitchBot is showing off robot vacuums that can zoom around with air purifiers, tablet stands, security cameras, tabletops and other objects on top.

It turns out that Roborock isn’t the only company that brought a robot vacuum with a mechanical arm to CES 2025. Rival company Dreame, which unveiled its stair-climbing robot vacuum earlier in the week,
