Ted Danson was presented with the Carol Burnett Award at the 2025 Golden Globes' inaugural Golden Gala on Jan. 3, celebrating the Cheers alum for his extraordinary television career.

Fans were quick to notice that two big awards were not shown during the past few Golden Globe Awards. During the most recent shows, the Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett achievement awards were not given out to any stars on camera.

Ted Danson was honored with the Carol Burnett Award at the 2025 Golden Globes. The actor, 77, accepted the award ahead of the live show during the Golden Globes‘ Golden Gala on Friday, January 3, at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Both Davis and Danson’s honors will be acknowledged again tomorrow, when the 82nd annual Golden Globes are broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. The show kicks off at the Beverly Hilton Hotel at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 5.
