AUSTIN, Texas — Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day has been eyeing Quinn Ewers since he was in eighth grade. On Friday, Day will get another look at his former recruit from the opposing sideline at the Cotton Bowl.

Ewers eventually committed to Texas as a recruit, but flipped to Ohio State and reclassified, joining the program for the 2021 season. However, after arriving late and being buried on the depth chart behind CJ Stroud and Kyle McCord, he ended up transferring to Texas.
