( The Hill) – GOP strategist Karl Rove cautioned that Republicans risk handing Democrats a Senate seat in Texas if they vote for the state’s attorney general, Ken Paxton (R), over incumbent Sen. John Cornyn (R) in the primary next year.
The board's vote comes roughly two weeks after state Sen. Mayes Middleton (R-Galveston), candidate for Texas Attorney General, donated Ten Commandments posters for each classroom in more than a dozen school districts, including Galveston ISD.
