Nvidia needed to modify its drivers to support the new Blackwell GPUs. It also recommended some changes in how people benchmark graphics cards, specifically related to MFG. Neither of these things appears to have been beneficial for Nvidia's latest GPUs,

Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs are just around the corner, with the first releases — the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 — dropping on January 30th.
