The Los Angeles Zoo announced this week that 10 healthy condors were hatched, making them eligible to be released in the wild to help replenish the state's depleted condor population.

All of the chicks will be candidates for release into the wild as part of the California Condor Recovery Program, under the leadership of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

California condors are not on exhibit at the zoo, but guests can participate in California Condor Talk, held daily. Please note: This content carries a strict local market embargo.
