Nearly three dozen arrests were made and a handful of police officers were hurt during the “No Kings” protest in Los Angeles on Saturday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

With migrant communities already living in fear amid the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, ICE raids in downtown Los Angeles sparked days of protests.

Protesters gathered in the area outside of the curfew zone, but there were still some confrontations when police moved to break up a crowd of several hundred people. An unlawful assembly was declared around 6:30 p.m. and according to the Los Angeles Police Department, 71 people were arrested on suspicion of failure to disperse.
