Grocery store chain Wegmans has recalled frozen chicken nuggets in multiple states over concerns that there may be bone fragments in the packages.
FSIS was notified of the issue after Wegmans received multiple consumer complaints of bone fragments in the frozen fully cooked breaded chicken breast nugget product. There have been no confirmed reports of injury due to consumption of these products, and anyone concerned about an injury should contact a health-care provider.
After multiple consumer complaints, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued a public health alert for some Wegmans chicken nugget products warning they may contain “extraneous material.” The frozen chicken nuggets were sold in Pennsylvania and seven other states, as well as the District of Columbia, according to a Jan. 27 notice.
The combination of the two may raise a few eyebrows, but it's a hack that's definitely worth trying during your next visit to McDonald's.
