As the Utah Hockey Club navigates its inaugural season on the ice, team executives are hard at work in the background building a permanent identity for the NHL'

The franchise will use a final round of fan voting to decide among the Utah Mammoth, Utah Hockey Club and Utah Wasatch.

First of all, it’s not “a” Wasatch. It’s THE Wasatch. As in, the Wasatch Mountains, which are in Utah. Totally makes sense. It’s apparently a word in the Ute language that means “mountain pass.”
