Two explosive projectiles detonated outside the Russian consulate in Marseille, France, on the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Three projectiles were thrown over the perimeter wall of Russia's consulate in the southern French port city of Marseille on Monday, two of which exploded, Marseille police said. The incendiary devices were thrown into the gardens of the consulate in France's second-largest city by population.

Russia on Monday demanded a full French investigation into an explosion at its consulate in Marseille which it said looked like an act of terrorism, state news agency TASS said.
