Party City is auctioning 21 store leases in North Carolina, including several in the greater Charlotte area, amid the retailer’s plans to close all of its nearly 700 locations after 40 years in business.

Leases for four Party City stores in Central Ohio will hit the auction block after the New Jersey retailer announced plans to close all of its stores after 40 years in business.

Fox owns the PartyWorks store on Caldwell Avenue in Visalia, as well as one in Clovis and two in Fresno, at River Park and on West Shaw. He considers the Party Works bankruptcy as “only to the better because we'll have less competition in our area.”
