The CBI has approached the court for permission to conduct narco analysis on former principal Sandip Ghosh and a polygraph test on ex-Tala PS OC Abhijit Mandal. Both are involved in the rape-murder conspiracy of an R G Kar PGT doctor.

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned youth CPI(M) leader Meenakshi Mukerjee as a witness for interrogation in the ghastly rape and murder of a junior doctor of R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata last month.

Minakshi Mukherjee's party, Democratic Youth Federation of India, has claimed several times that the police could not hurriedly cremate the deceased doctor due to the efforts of the left leader.

The RG Kar victim's father requested CBI to secure footage of CCTV cameras focused on the hospital's seminar hall, where the crime took place, as well as those covering all entry and exit points of the hospital,
