Australian soap opera Neighbours has been cancelled for a second time. A statement on the programme’s social media accounts confirmed the final episode of the 40-year-old series would air in December 2025 after reports production company Fremantle Media failed to secure a renewed deal with Amazon.

Neighbours has allegedly been axed after two years on Amazon. The long-running Aussie soap was saved by Amazon Freevee in 2022 just months after its finale aired on Channel 5. A source told The Sun: ‘Amazon gave Fremantle two years to see if it worked but sadly they just didn’t get the viewers.
