Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that injured a man when someone entered his home late Tuesday, Jan. 7, officials said. Officers responded to the 2800 block of Avenue K shortly after 8 p.m. They found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Investigators determined that an unknown suspect entered the home, confronted the victim, and shot him in the torso. The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene and has not been identified. The Fort Worth Police Department’s gang unit is investigating the incident.
