While ESPN's Shams Charania reported Tuesday that the Denver Nuggets agreed to acquire big man Jonas Valančiūnas in exchange for Dario Šarić, the former might not play in the NBA next season.

But several news sources are reporting the 33-year-old big man could bolt the NBA in favor of the EuroLeague, more specifically Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos Athens. That would, once again, leave the Nuggets with a key need at back-up center behind three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. And the answer may be a familiar name.

There's mutual interest between Jonas Valanciunas and a Greek club days after the Nuggets agreed to acquire the center from Sacramento. The trade between the Kings and Nuggets can't be processed until Sunday.
