The Yankees have pulled the plug Devin Williams closing games for them one month into his first season with the team, which Deesha Thosar believes is a good as he holds an 11.25 ERA through 10 appearances.

It was only one outing, but Devin Williams’ first time on the mound not as Yankees closer — at least for now — was a step in the right direction.

Luke Weaver, who took over as closer last September when Clay Holmes faltered, will get most of the opportunities to finish tight games.
