Though the scheduled $17.5 million represents a considerable raise for Cross, it's still well short of his eventual expectations. Cross finished as Pro Football Focus' 10th-best ranked tackle out of 140 qualifying blockers in the NFL last season. He was a workhorse for Seattle's struggling offensive line, playing 1,094 snaps.

The team had until May 1 to decide about 2026 for its starting left tackle and first-round draft choice from 2022.
