Thousands of Israelis lined the streets to mourn the Bibases, who were taken hostage in the Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7, 2023, and had become a symbol of the country’s trauma.

The funeral procession of former Hamas hostages Shiri Bibas and her two young sons drew thousands of people in Israel Wednesday. They were taken at Nir Oz kibbutz during the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel.
