Gerald Coetzee's exclusion from the Joburg Super Kings’ XI against Pretoria Capitals in SA20 raised concerns about his availability for the Champions Trophy.

South Africa’s Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy with a back injury, the latest in a long line of setbacks for the fast bowler.

"Pretoria Capitals fast bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the remainder of the Betway SA20 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a back injury," said Cricket South Africa in a statement.
