Himachal Pradesh's monsoon season (June 20-July 16, 2025) caused 109 deaths: 64 from rain-related incidents like landslides and floods.

This incident follows another IndiGo flight (6E 6271) from Delhi to Goa being diverted to Mumbai the previous day for similar reasons. No injuries were reported in either case.
