Justice Juan M. Merchan, an even-keeled jurist, has been in the president-elect’s cross-hairs for nearly two years.

Merchan allowed media organizations to record the audio from inside the courtroom as he sentenced President-elect Donald Trump on Friday to an “unconditional discharge”.

Though he's due to get away with less than a slap on the wrist, Donald Trump is not happy about his upcoming sentencing for falsifying business records. In a series of posts to Truth Social on Saturday morning, the president-elect painted a picture of a corrupt establishment that had unfairly targeted him in a series of civil and criminal cases.
