Prized rookie Roman Anthony has hit his first major league home run for the Boston Red Sox in the first inning against the Seattle Mariners.

The outfielder, who turned 21 last month, is the youngest player to reach the big leagues for the Red Sox since Rafael Devers was called up as a 20-year-old in 2017.

Roman Anthony switched his number from 48 to 19 ahead of his second MLB game. It comes with a lot of Red Sox history from players who wore the number before him. But one legend and nine-time All-Star is hopeful the Boston Red Sox rookie has just as much luck wearing it as he did.
