Preparation 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. 2. Pat the roast dry with paper towels and generously salt and pepper all sides of the roast.
First, liberally sprinkle the chuck roast with the salt, white pepper, black pepper, red pepper flakes and the beef seasoning. Then set it aside for about 15 minutes or so.
