A Richmond police officer on Wednesday shot and wounded a man outside a South Richmond motel after the man pointed a gun toward officers, according to Police Chief Alfred Durham.

MONTICELLO — A 12-year-old was severely injured Wednesday while tubing behind a boat on Lake Shafer, near the Indiana Beach amusement park in White County, officials said.
