The Sacramento Kings latest injury report lists De’Aaron Fox as questionable ahead of their matchup against the Boston Celtics.

The Kings have even won their last two games without star point guard De'Aaron Fox. A blowout 30-point win over the Golden State Warriors and a double-overtime comeback win over the Miami Heat while Fox is sidelined is certainly a good sign for this Kings squad, but time will tell how well they can perform without their All-Star point guard.

De’Aaron Fox appeared on the injury report Friday morning with a glute injury, and the Kings are expected to be without him. Fox was seen participating in Kings’ shootaround earlier in the day, but it looks as though the star point guard will be unable to play in Friday’s game.

The Kings (18-19) have won five of their first six games under interim coach Doug Christie. They will visit the Celtics, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks as part of a tough three-game road trip after playing nine of their last 11 games at home.

The reality is nobody fears the Celtics anymore. Opposing know they can win at the Garden, and are throwing various defenses to which Boston's offense can’t consistently respond.

Over the full season, only the Rockets, Magic and 76ers have more consistently and thoroughly won the possession battle than Boston. That has actually held up over the past month, with the Celtics continuing to outperform opponents on the offensive glass, commit fewer turnovers than they create and generate more free throws than they allow.

The Celtics fell to 27-11 with Friday’s loss to the Kings, who were missing star guard De’Aaron Fox. After a hot start in which it very much resembled NBA champions, Boston has gone just 8-7 its last 15 games.
