The Buffalo Bills signed veteran linebacker Nicholas Morrow on Monday, close to three weeks after they initially released him.

Nicholas Morrow’s second stint with the Buffalo Bills did not last long.

The Buffalo Bills managed to scrape by with a 24-21 victory over the New England Patriots in Week 16, but the injuries are beginning to mount for them, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. That led to them pursuing a reunion with veteran linebacker Nicholas Morrow after releasing him just a couple of weeks ago.

Linebacker Baylon Spector is expected to be placed on injured reserve this week with a calf injury that he suffered in Buffalo's last game against the New England Patriots. In a corresponding move, the Bills are set to bring back a familiar face, signing linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the active roster.

The Buffalo Bills have announced the signing of another quarterback to back Josh Allen up ahead of the playoffs.

Morrow began the regular season on the Bills' active roster, but he was let go Dec. 7 after playing in 11 games. He's back on the 53-man roster due to Baylon Spector (calf) being placed on injured reserve. Morrow will mainly contribute on special teams while bolstering the Bills' linebacker corps.
