The Buckeyes are looking to hire a new defensive coordinator and their most recent interview could lead to a great hiring for the defending CFP champs.

Matt Patricia was most recently a senior defensive assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023. He has been coaching since 1996 and has primarily worked as a defensive coach. He also worked with offensive lines, and he was the head coach of the Detroit Lions for three seasons.

Ryan Day's found Ohio State's next defensive coordinator, completing his 2025 staff. And it comes with some lingering questions about the Buckeyes' future.
