ESPN's Bobby Marks proposed a three-team trade that would see the Warriors acquire Jilly Butler for a haul of players and assets.
Jimmy Butler's efforts to force his way off the Miami Heat have proved fruitless thus far. But it's early days yet. It's been about a month since rumors first popped up that Butler wanted a trade and less than a week since he made it public before getting suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.
On Tuesday, Brian Windhorst reported on ESPN that, so far, teams have offered “poo-poo platter” in exchange for Butler, who isn’t expected to sign an extension anywhere he is traded. Chris Haynes, of Clutch Points, reported that certain teams have been advised not to acquire him.
Despite speculation around Butler, the Warriors are more likely to target two other names on the trade market in Chicago and Brooklyn.
The Warriors have been searching for another star to pair with Steph Curry but it seems that it won't be Butler. According to Anthony Slater, Marcus Thompson II, and Sam Amick of The Athletic, Golden State may be out on the six-time All-Star.
