Macworld Apple’s latest mid-size iPhone software update, iOS 18.4, brings dozens of improvements. But as is often the case when an operating system changes in a significant way, it brings problems too.

For example, Reddit user EagleEyedTiger7 stated that their iPhone “randomly” downloaded the Last War game after updating to iOS 18.4. In response, user schulze1 said the same thing had happened to them and that “I’ve never had that app installed before.”

Since the release of iOS 18.4, an unknown number of users are reporting the appearance of apps on their iPhones that they either previously deleted — or have never installed.
