Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Gamecock football legend Steve Taneyhill has passed away. The Spartanburg Co. Coroner’s Office confirmed the former quarterback died at the age of 52. Taneyhill’s cause of death was not released, however according to multiple reports, he died following a long term battle with illness.
