Red Sox pitcher Walker Buehler had it going against the San Diego Padres on Friday night. Buehler had arguably his best outing of the season.

Buehler tossed 6 scoreless innings to lead the Red Sox to a 10-2 victory at Petco Park on Friday. This win adds to Buehler’s impressive resume against the Padres. The 31-year-old righty, who pitched for the Dodgers from 2017-24, improved to 7-1 with a 1.67 ERA in 13 career starts (81 innings) against San Diego.

According to Nat Gordon, Buehler gets $500,000 for season starts 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28. In total, that's $2.5 million due to Buehler if he just keeps starting the rest of the regular season. Buehler's next start is his 20th, and the Red Sox will have to decide if they want to pay him more than $500,000 extra this season.
