Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey already has a handful of A-list actors in its cast, and one can predict who will play who in this Greek epic.

Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson and Anne Hathaway are among the cast for the director’s take on the epic poem.

“ Christopher Nolan ’s next film ‘The Odyssey’ is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology,” said the studio. “The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to IMAX film screens for the first time and opens in theaters everywhere on July 17, 2026.”

Nolan has already stirred excitement for his upcoming film by casting major stars like Matt Damon and Tom Holland. Of course, Nolan hardly needs additional hype, especially after Oppenheimer became the third-highest-grossing film of 2023 earning nearly $975 million globally and sweeping seven Academy Awards,

The film has shared news of its cast, which includes some of the most exciting actors working today, including Tom Holland and Zendaya, in their fourth project together, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Matt Damon .

As we reported some time ago, Christopher Nolan is planning to adapt The Odyssey into a film, which is now being described as his most expensive project to date, with a production budget nearing 2.7 billion SEK.

Nolan is also behind epic films including “Inception,” “The Dark Knight,” “Dunkirk” and his most recent film “Oppenheimer,” which scored big at last year’s Oscars when it took home the trophy for best picture. Nolan won that award as a producer, and also took home the Academy Award for best director.
