As the Washington Commanders continue to navigate the situation surrounding Pro Bowl wideout Terry McLaurin, an AFC contender has formally inquired about the veteran receiver's services, according to reports.

Last year, McLaurin was rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels ' favorite target in a revamped offense. McLaurin reeled in 82 of his 117 targets for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns, which were both career highs. That helped the Commanders go from 4-13 to 12-5 in just one year.

Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Saturday that wide receiver Terry McLaurin told him directly about his request to be traded amid a contract dispute but the coach has not addressed the matter with the other players as the team continues to prepare for the season.
