Instead of sticking with her usual starting lineup, coach Stephanie White opted to start Aari McDonald in place of Lexie Hull. The move gave the Fever two primary ball handlers, as both Clark and McDonald naturally play point guard. This allowed Clark to play off-ball a bit more.

The Golden State Valkyries stormed Gainbridge Fieldhouse and walked away with an 80-61 victory over the host Fever, spoiling Clark's comeback from a groin injury that had cost her nearly three weeks of action.
